The Story
This artwork draws inspiration from the royal gardens of India, where architecture and nature exist in perfect harmony. The chhatri, the lush foliage, the curious monkey and the vibrant birds celebrate the playful yet peaceful spirit of Indian heritage, a reminder that beauty lies in the details around us.
“Homes are more alive when nature finds a place within them.”
Inspiration
Gokul is the village of Krishna's childhood, and the world Nathdwara painters have returned to for four centuries: the garlanded cow, the gopis, the village at dusk. This world holds the pieces closest to devotion and to rural life, for the pooja corner, the doorway and the dining table.
Part of the Gokul world. Pichwai-inspired art prints, hand-painted border panels with handwork, and embellished wooden trays.
Styling
Lives well in the living room, bedroom, study, entrance. Hang or place it where morning or lamp light falls across it at an angle: the handwork and texture come alive in raking light. Pair with brass, raw wood and unbleached linen; let it be the one patterned object in its sightline.
Ideal spaces, as listed by our team: Living Room, Bedroom, Study, Entrance.
