The Story
Inspired by the simplicity and grace of India's rural landscapes, this design brings together people, nature and animals in perfect harmony. Each tree, bird and figure is a reminder of a slower, more mindful way of life: a celebration of community, culture and the timeless bond between humans and nature.
“Some homes don't just hold walls, they hold worlds.”
Inspiration
Gokul is the village of Krishna's childhood, and the world Nathdwara painters have returned to for four centuries: the garlanded cow, the gopis, the village at dusk. This world holds the pieces closest to devotion and to rural life, for the pooja corner, the doorway and the dining table.
Part of the Gokul world. Pichwai-inspired art prints, hand-painted border panels with handwork, and embellished wooden trays.
Styling
Lives well in the living room, dining room, temple corner, entrance. Hang or place it where morning or lamp light falls across it at an angle: the handwork and texture come alive in raking light. Pair with brass, raw wood and unbleached linen; let it be the one patterned object in its sightline.
Ideal spaces, as listed by our team: Living Room, Dining, Pooja Space, Hallway, Heritage Interiors.
