The Story
Rooted in India's rich rural traditions, this design celebrates the simple yet profound beauty of everyday life: the bond with nature, the rhythm of the seasons and the grace of tradition. Handcrafted with care, it is more than a decor piece; it is a reminder of a time when life moved in harmony with the earth.
“Some stories don't fade, they simply find new walls.”
Inspiration
Gokul is the village of Krishna's childhood, and the world Nathdwara painters have returned to for four centuries: the garlanded cow, the gopis, the village at dusk. This world holds the pieces closest to devotion and to rural life, for the pooja corner, the doorway and the dining table.
Part of the Gokul world. Pichwai-inspired art prints, hand-painted border panels with handwork, and embellished wooden trays.
Styling
Lives well in the living room, dining room, temple corner, entrance. Hang or place it where morning or lamp light falls across it at an angle: the handwork and texture come alive in raking light. Pair with brass, raw wood and unbleached linen; let it be the one patterned object in its sightline.
Ideal spaces, as listed by our team: Living Room, Dining, Pooja Space, Hallway, Heritage Interiors.
